“Non-Invasive Aesthetics”: BeWell’s Approach to Sustainable Skin Health

Non-invasive aesthetics has become one of the largest segments of the global aesthetic industry.

According to the ISAPS Global Survey 2024, more than 20.5 million non-surgical procedures were performed worldwide in 2024, nearly 40% more than in 2020. Notably, non-surgical skin tightening accounted for more than 1.2 million procedures, up 38.9% in just one year.

But this growth reflects more than the desire to “look better without surgery.” The market is increasingly asking an important question: how can we improve appearance while maintaining skin health and quality over the long term?

What Is Non-Invasive Aesthetics?

Non-invasive aesthetics refers to procedures that do not require surgery and are used to address concerns such as wrinkles, pigmentation, skin texture, firmness, and signs of aging.

Common technologies and treatment categories include:

  • Energy-based technologies: lasers, light, radiofrequency (RF), and ultrasound, targeting different layers of the skin to improve pigmentation, texture, or firmness.
  • Chemical peels: using appropriately selected active ingredients to promote cell renewal and improve the skin surface.
  • Injectables: including botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, and certain dermal fillers or collagen-stimulating agents. This remains the largest segment of non-surgical aesthetics, with more than 15.3 million injectable procedures recorded by ISAPS in 2024.
  • Regenerative technologies and therapies: emerging approaches such as exosomes are being studied for their potential to support skin quality.

What matters is not only the technology itself, but also its depth of action, mechanism, and suitability for the specific skin condition.

Why Is “Skin Foundation Care” Becoming a Trend?

The results of a treatment may be visible relatively quickly. However, healthy skin should be assessed through more than appearance alone, including barrier function, hydration, pigmentation, texture, elasticity, and recovery capacity.

This is why the approach of “the stronger, the better” is gradually giving way to a strategy of appropriate intervention and long-term monitoring.

How Is Aesthetic Technology Evolving?

ISAPS data show that growth is not driven by injectables alone. In 2024, non-surgical skin tightening increased by 38.9%, while chemical peels rose by 33.3%, and total facial rejuvenation procedures increased by 42% compared with 2023.

This suggests that the market is expanding toward a broader range of approaches to improve facial appearance and quality—from addressing muscle activity and volume to pigmentation, skin structure, and firmness.

With emerging technologies such as exosomes, the picture is more complex. This is a rapidly developing area of research, but evidence, source materials, manufacturing processes, and applications can vary across products. Therefore, findings from a research study should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of effectiveness for every product available on the market.

How to Choose the Right Non-Invasive Treatment?

Rather than starting with the latest technology, it is more appropriate to begin with the skin condition and the concern to be addressed:

1. Assess the skin foundation
Is the skin healthy, sensitive, compromised, hyperpigmented, or showing signs of aging?

2. Define the goal
Improve pigmentation, texture, wrinkles, firmness—or maintain overall skin quality?

3. Determine the appropriate level of intervention
Not every concern requires the strongest technology or a combination of multiple treatments.

4. Monitor the response
A good treatment plan should be assessed not only through before-and-after images, but also by the skin’s response and ability to maintain results over time.

BeWell’s Approach to Non-Invasive Aesthetics

At BeWell, skin assessment comes before treatment selection. The goal is not to fit clients into a pre-existing technology, but to determine which approach best matches their skin condition, the severity of the concern, and their specific aesthetic goals.

For healthy skin, the strategy may focus on maintenance and early prevention. For skin showing signs of damage or aging, the priority is to identify the underlying concerns and determine the appropriate level of intervention before pursuing deeper aesthetic goals.

BeWell currently offers two main skin care packages: Nutri Boost and EXO Boost.

Nutri Boost is BeWell’s signature deep-nourishment dermatology treatment. It uses the Neopen device to precisely deliver a blend of bioactive peptides and vitamins from the epidermis to the dermis, helping optimize skin hydration, firmness, tone, and elasticity.

EXO Boost is BeWell’s aesthetic dermatology treatment combining microneedling with highly concentrated purified exosomes (10 billion exosomes) derived from human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and human umbilical cord, together with purified HA. The treatment is designed to support skin health, recovery, and advanced rejuvenation.

BeWell’s skin care packages are available to clients aged 16 and above.

These aesthetic treatments are contraindicated for pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with a history of allergies to any treatment ingredients, and other clients identified by the physician as unsuitable following medical consultation.
